Pictish Chain

This solid pewter Pictish neck chain is a replica of one found in Aberdeenshire, and the original is dated to 400-800 AD. There has been a number of these chains found across Scotland, and the current theory is that they were some sort of sign of office or rank in Pictish society.  

This heavy chain weighs 920g and measures aproximately 449mm in length and each ring has a diameter of 32mm.
