Half Inch Three Heads Strap End

This strap end is an Anglo-Scandinavian type typically found in the Danelaw, Scotland and Ireland. There are also known parallels from Scandinavia, where the heads, which may be intended to be bears, are also found in other metalwork such as brooches. The date range for this type is from the late 9th to the tenth century.
