Glass Hnefatafl King

This hand made glass king piece for henfatafl is a replica of a Viking age find from Birka. It stands 4cm high.

Individual king pieces are often found in archaeology without the other playing pieces. A current theory is that if you had an identifiable king piece then you could scratch a board into a wooden plank or the dirt, and use coins of stones for the other pieces. 

Each king is hand made, so may vary slightly from the photo.
